Is Christmas really on Monday?!? We just had a super busy, super fun weekend - and it's almost the weekend again! We celebrated Sarah's baptism on Sunday and we were honored to have family travel to be with us. Michael's parents came from Texas; my brother, his wife and daughter came from Kentucky; and other family and friends came from places closer to us. It was also awesome to have the Perryman's there (a family we traveled to VN with) and they brought their daughter Avi Joy. Sarah seemed to understand that she was on "Holy Ground" because she removed her shoes during the baptism. (Really, we just can't keep shoes on her!) Our prayer is that Sarah will love Jesus all of her days and live a life that brings honor to His name.
Afterwards we all went out for some yummy Vietnamese food at a local restaurant. Sarah still loves to eat rice and even some of the spicier dishes - like curry. I guess some things never change.
Sarah got her first taste of Christmas, too. We took her to see an amazing display of Christmas lights and she got to open a few presents early at grandma and grandpa's house. So far, the wrapping paper and ribbon has been the big hit! I think I could go "shopping" in a dumpster outside a store and give her the cardboard boxes for Christmas and we would have a perfectly happy child.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Until 2007......

We couldn't help ourselves!
Sarah was being so cute and sweet this afternoon that we took out the camera, made crazy sounds and faces at her, and clicked away. Here are two of my favorite pictures.

Sarah is doing so well and learning so many new things. We are constantly amazed at her developmental catch-up and how clever she is. Doesn't she look like a big girl now? I'm thankful that we got a little taste of having a baby, but she is way too fun at this age. (Of course not when we are trying to get her to leave the Tivo box and electrical cords alone, leave her shoes and socks on, leave her bows in....)
