Sarah, you have been growing and changing so much lately and I've not been doing a very good job of documenting your milestones. One day your going to want to know this stuff, so here is what you have been doing lately.
You have been walking like crazy lately - especially this last week. You fall less often, are more sure-footed, and you are picking up speed. Just yesterday you figured out how to stand up from the middle of the room with nothing to hold on to. It's pretty funny to watch. You stick your rear up in the air with your hands and head on the ground and then push off. Sometimes you just fall all the way backwards, but you don't give up. Yesterday you also squatted down and picked an object off the ground and stood back up without falling over (for the first time).
You don't "say" many words - just "mama" and "da" - but, you "talk" all the time. You are very loud!! You understand many words, though. Here are just a few of the words you understand well: breakfast, lunch, dinner, eat, drink, bunny, bear, Tigger, toys, kiss, bye-bye, hair brush, teeth, nose, eyes, ears, and hello.
You know how to use baby signs to ask for "More food (or drink) please." By the way, you request food and drink ALL THE TIME! We think you might have a hollow leg to hold all the food!
You make many funny faces, such as: the "kissy" face, "show me your teeth" face, "stare down the nose and tuck the chin" face, and the "I'm so innocent and sweet" face.
You are obsessed with all things electronic. And, if you make it through childhood without being electrocuted, you just might grow up to be an electrical engineer. You even figured out how the use the remote control to get to the TIVO menu to turn on Sesame Street - which happens to be your very favorite show. You love to watch Sesame Street while sitting nicely on the couch. Very impressive for an active toddler!
Two weeks ago you made it trough your fist real illness since you have been home with us. You had a 103 degree fever for almost 48 hours. You were a very good patient. You also were in your first auto accident last week while mommy was driving you home. A lady hit our car from behind us while getting onto a highway. Our car looks really awful but we were both ok. You screamed for a while, but ended up making friends with the firemen. They gave you a balloon and then you were all smiles.
Daddy and I love you very much and we can't wait to see you grow into an even bigger girl. But, don't rush to grow up! Ok?

What a fun list! Our kids have figured out TIVO too... SO SCARY! Alyssa remarked the other day when she was at her grandparents' house: "I don't like live TV."
They just grow up way too fast, don't they?
