Sunday, September 7th we celebrated Sarah's 2nd Forever Family Day. That hot, muggy, wonderful day in Ninh Thuan, Vietnam seems like forever ago....and like it was yesterday. Because Sundays are so crazy for our family, we had a low key celebration. I did make a special dinner - Thai "Panang" coconut curry chicken. Not exactly Vietnamese food, but I have to say I ate a lot of Thai in Vietnam. The recipe is easy and delicious - especially served over Jasmine rice. I promise to share it with you in another post. Sarah is really into her baby doll (the Calin Yang by Corolle), so we got her another doll made by the same company that is a little bigger and looks more like a little girl. Now she talks about "both babies" all day long.
The Lord gave me a precious gift on the 7th. Sarah was taking a pretty long nap, so I went in to get her up. She often gets a little sweaty around the hairline when she sleeps. When she rolled over in her bed to look at me - stretching, pouting her lips, sweaty hair framing her face - I had an instant flashback to my first memories of her waking up in our hotel bed in Ninh Thuan. It was the same facial expression and she looked just like I remember our baby girl looking.

Your blog was one of the first I found when we started looking into adoption. I can't believe it's been two years.
And love the new look!!!

We are honored to be a part of both your kiddos lives... and thankful to have such a special bond between Sarah and Avi Joy.

Happy Second Forever Family Day! I can't believe it has been two years. Your blog and family's journey is special to us. I remeber reading every word as we prayed about switching from Korea to Vietnam. Sarah is beautiful!
I also like the new look of your blog. :)
Wow! Can it really been two years since we've had these girls?? I remember seeing Sarah at the orphanage and being awed by her exquisite features. Some things never change- she is a beauty. You are a good mama, Heather.
