Christmastide Greetings!

On the 6th day of Christmas I'm finally finding a little time to share with you our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations. For your added reading pleasure, I think I'll let Andrew narrate.

On Christmas Eve morning Sarah was still at Nana and Papa's house where she spent the night, so I got to have my parent's attention all to myself. I also got to have Sarah's room all to myself. Secretly, I did miss her and I gave her at least 20 hugs when she got home. Since Daddy is a preacher it was a work day for him. It was okay, though, because Mommy had lots of preparations to make for dinner.

After nap I got to go to church for Christmas Eve worship and see my Dad. I had a hard time sitting still during the service, even if it was geared for little people. I'm just not as well trained to sit during worship as my sister. I'll have to practice more this year since I'm getting to be such a big boy. My cousin Lauren and her parents, plus my Nana and Papa were at church, too.

After church my parents hosted their annual Christmas Eve gathering of family and friends at the house.

After everyone left we put on our pajamas so that Santa could visit. Sarah delayed his visit until the wee hours of the night because she wouldn't go to bed. I'm sure that Santa was very tired the next day on account of that.

Luckily he didn't hold that against us and still brought us some good gifts. All Sarah asked for was candy, but she was pleasantly surprised to find out that the old man also leaves toys. Mom and Dad also give some pretty good toys, too.

(One of her favorite gifts....from Michael's parents.)

Santa really hit the jackpot with the surprise he left us on the back porch!

Before I could even play with my new toys we were off to Nana and Papa's house (Mommy's parents) to open more gifts and spend the day with my family.

I'm pretty sure I heard two loud sighs coming from the family room after sister and I were tucked all snug in our beds.

I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:10-11) And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
