This Thanksgiving......

.....we're thankful for these little turkeys that enrich and bless our lives. (I've got a lot of blogging to catch up on, but it will have to wait until after we've finished visiting with family and eating entirely too much holiday fare.)

History

It is finished..... The concession speech has been made. McCain was my personal choice, the party of my personal political beliefs. I can not deny that I feel sadness in this loss. I was so proud of and moved by the speech McCain gave and I believe it was from his heart. I completely share the sentiments that McCain expressed regarding the historic nature of this election of our next leader and how important that it is that we have moved beyond the prejudice of our past. Again, I'm sad about the political loss, but I feel hope that we are truly moving or have moved into a post-racial time in our country....which is great good news for my Vietnamese-American daughter and all Americans. I'll pray for President-Elect Obama (I can't imagine the enormity of the job), I'll pray for the healing and unity of our country, and I hope you will join me.

Let Your Voice Be Heard!

I'm not going to stump for a candidate here, but I urge you to let your voice, your opinion, your values, and your ideologies be heard today by casting your vote. It is truly one of the great freedoms of our nation. A freedom that is denied to so many globally. Every vote counts, so please don't count your vote as too insignificant to matter.

Last Sunday we had a Fall Festival at our Church. Here is Mommy with Andrew on a hayride.

My friend Avi Joy came! She was an artist.

We went "Trunk-or-Treating."

My friend Sarah was there, too.

And her little brother who made Mommy really laugh because he looked like a 70's dragon.

Yesterday I got to go to the pumpkin patch with my best guy pal Luke.

I climbed the pumpkins....

.....and then my brother copied me.

I was very popular with the goats.

Then last night I got to dress up as a cat again.

And we went Trick-or-Treating with Nana and Mommy.
